J. Cole And His Dreamville Label Just Had The Best Bar Crawl Ever
J.Cole and artists from his Dreamville label performed in three small NYC venues for a Dreamville bar crawl.
Forget SantaCon. New York’s best bar crawl this holiday season was the “Revenge of the Dreamers NYC Crawl 2015.” Organized by J. Cole’sDreamville label, the bar crawl stopped at the venues DROM, Cake Shop, and SOB’s.
But they weren’t just interested in drinking. The crawl was also a celebration of the release of Revenge of the Dreamers II, the second compilation record from the label released last Tuesday. It was set to release on Dec. 11, but Cole offered the album earlier as a surprise download. The album features tracks from older Dreamville artists as well as new signees Ari Lennox and Lute.
After announcing the bar crawl through subway flyers, the word quickly spread online with fans trying tracking the impromptu shows from stop to stop.
And based on tweets, the bar crawl was just as fun for the Dreamville crew as it was for fans. Performers included J. Cole, Cozz, Bas, and Omen.
Although the night may have been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal with the artists of Dreamville, you can relive all of the glory, at least through Twitter.
